Na Gyun-an, 26, a pitcher for the Lotte Baseball Club, has been disciplined by the club for attending a drinking party until the early hours of the morning on the day of his start.

Lotte announced today (Aug. 28) that it held its own disciplinary committee to review the facts and decided to suspend the player for 30 games and punish him with 40 hours of community service.

Nae Gyun-ahn attended a drinking party with an acquaintance on the night of April 24, a day before the team's home game against the KIA Tigers at Sajik Stadium in Busan.

The party lasted past midnight and into the early morning hours of the 25th, the day of the game, when a baseball fan recognized his face, took a photo, and posted it to the internet community.

The Lotte team immediately sent Nae-gyun-ahn down to the second team, 바카라사이트넷 but due to a rule that prohibits game-day substitutions, they kept him on the mound.

Na struggled, giving up eight runs in 1⅔ innings, and was promptly removed from the first team on the 26th, the day after the game.

"This discipline was imposed because he damaged the club's dignity and violated his obligation of integrity as a player," explained a Lotte team official.

Prior to the disciplinary committee meeting, Na said, "I sincerely apologize to the club, the manager, the coaching staff, and my teammates for causing trouble. I will reflect on my mistakes so that this will never happen in the future," he said.
